I'm thinking about Abyssus, but i want opinions about these mouses and if any of you tried the mouses. I have the money, i just want to choose wisely. I was gonna get Naga, since all the functions, but the keypad at the side is just ugh. The imperator looks nice, but if the abyssus is good. I'm get that instead. Help me decide.

If there is a better mouse out, or something thats awesome. Please tell me. I'm looking durability and quality.

My Deathadder is going strong after 3 years hard use and it feels as good as new. I've had many Razer mice and it's by far the one with the best build quality. It's also really comfortable for me to use during extended gaming sessions.

The fact that it has an 'optical' rather than laser sensor seals the deal for me. I have no 'lift off' problems that i've had with other mice.

Assuming you use you don't already know this, mouse accelleration is the enemy of gamers, (and even in normal use), so should be eradicated entirely. To do this set the mouse speed in the Windows options to 6/11, (the sixth notch out of the eleven available), untick Pointer Precision, and Google 'Mouse Fix' for the OS you are using. For Win 7 i use the Reg hack available from..

Select the correct one from the .zip you download to match your desktop DPI (100% by default). I also install the Razer drivers, set all the profiles to the max DPI which are then saved to the Firmware, and then i uninstall the driver. In all it takes less time than it sounds and improves usage tremendously.

In game, i never overshoot the target any more just because i was doing a faster 180 than normal.

Mice fit is personal, you never know if it's going to fit you until you try it.

So far my favorite Razer mouse is deathadder, and I've tried a lot of them before settling on it, every new Razer mice I've tried so far I have always come back to Deathadder.

I haven't tried Naga, because I'm not RPG player, so the keypad on the left side is a deal killer for me, Abyssus looks like a nice no frills mouse, the shape looks the same as old logitech mice, such as mx300, so if that shape appeals to you, go for it.

Deathadder and Imperator are more involved, and deserve more time, each has some pros and some cons.

Deathadder
+ When I sweep my hand left to right the cursor does not move vertically at all
+ Very comfortable shape
- Right side of the mouse is slanted so it's difficult to lift the mouse, the problem is alevated a little bit once the mouse warms up from body heat - it's easier to pick it up, however when it's cold you'll find it slipping out of your hand if you try to lift it up.

Imperator
+ Right side of the mouse has a groove so it's easier to lift the mouse
+ Slightly smaller than Deathadder, which I think is a plus
- When I sweep my hand horizontally the cursor moves from bottom left to upper right which can throw your aim off if you're tracking someone horizonally
- Every time I lifted the mouse and put it back down the cursor jumped about 50-75 pixels down and right, extremely annoying and very well documented problem with this mouse, not sure if that was ever fixed in firmware, but I returned my mouse already beause I couldn't handle it
- Increased DPI sensitivity and slightly narrower base makes the mouse pick up tilting motion of your hand as you rock it slightly left and right, this made pixel precision work in photoshop a nightmare.

After all of this, I still use DeathAdder. I like the shape and ergonomic improvements of Imperator a lot, but the tracking issues are just too much for me, so sadly I had to return it.

So here's my 2 cents.
