Razer Krait + PS2

Just bought a Razer Krait mouse. It works fine plugged into a USB port, but won't work at all through one of those little green USB-to-PS2 converters. This makes it impossible for me to use it with my PS2 KVM switch.

Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this problem, or is there a nice gaming mouse that will work through a USB-to-PS2 converter?
 
The Razer Viper works with a USB to PS/2 adapter. It's the predecessor to the Krait - it has the exact same shell, but a uses 1000 CPI sensor instead of the 1600 CPI sensor in the Krait. I'm not entirely sure where you would find one, though. I picked mine up for $40 CAD at a London Drugs store.
