Razer Imperator or Death Adder? (Claw Grip)

Hello. I need a new mouse, and I'm looking to get a nice Razer one this time (currently using a non-branded $4 mouse 😛)

I've narrowed it down to the Death Adder or the Imperator. Now:

-I mainly have a claw grip, but if the Death Adder is better I'll be fine with palm.

-I don't have a mouse pad. I use my wood desk as a pad for my mouse. Should I buy a pad, and which one for which mouse?
