Razer DeathAdder USB 1800dpi Mouse

I recently purchased a Razer DeathAdder mouse from another member. I like the mouse very much, its easy to install and update, smooth, and comfy.

I have one issue - upon using the mouse, be it web surfing or game playing, it commonly 'freezes' for a few seconds. I have to move the mouse / pick it up / set it down and it picks back up.

I've never had anything other than the lowest of grades of mice. I'm not sure if this is a mouse issue, or the fact that I'm using a desk surface. I've tried using the mouse at the lower dpi settings [900 and 450] but results in the same problem. I've used other optical/lazer mice and never had an issue. This used their 3g Infrared.

Should I ask for a return? Or is there a basic household item i can use to test if its a surface issue? Tried a few things, and either it doesn't respond at all - or the same issue.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,

Try finding a regular old mouse pad if you can to test it on, but not one with a glossy or reflective surface.

Something non reflecting, try a sheet of paper or something. Not the best thing to use, but better thannothing. Just buy a $3 mousepad

Thanks guys. Bad question, sorry 😛 Going to try this tonight and see if theres any improvement. I've always been anti mousepads. darn. 🙂
