I just put together a new computer. The mobo is an Asrock Extreme 4. If I use a USB extension cord, the back ports will not work with it. It shows up as unrecognizable. It works fine with the extension on the front two ports and worked fine on my old computer. A USB extender works fine with my keyboard, but that same one will not work with the mouse. I've tried 3 different extenders. The mouse works if plugged directly into the back. All Mobo drivers are up to date. The system is Windows 8.1.

Power Supply is:Seasonic SS-660XP2 ATX 12V/EPS 12V, 660W, 80 PLUS

Any thoughts?

Have you tried playing with the Legacy USB settings in the BIOS?
