Yesterday I installed this and a Deathadder mouse onto my wife's work computer. No, she's not using for gaming, but she does like her bling. 
Upon installation I noticed the KB was cycling through solid colors. I sought out, after installing the Synapse 3 software, to set the KB to a single static color and it seemed to work yesterday. This morning it was still working until the wife turned off her PC, walked on her treadmill and then turned the PC back on. No lights at all. I fiddled with the Synapse software and somewhere in it I tried to follow several YT videos by toggling the APPS switch to trigger it into working again but it would only work with the APPS function turned off.
She then turned the PC off again and this evening turned it back on to the KB cycling through solid colors again. WTF, if there no way to set a single, static color on this KB? I know I am getting old, but the Synapse software seems needlessly over complex for what it was designed to do.
