Razer Boomslang 2000 Scrolling

My boomslang has never scrolled in the way that normal mice do (move scroll wheel and it moves) but i always had to push the wheel down and then move mouse to make it scroll. It scrolled perfectly in games though.

If anyone has this mouse could you post here and let me know what OS you have and if your mouse does the same thing.

Thanks (thinking about selling it and was wondering if it was standard)

also, wasn't sure if this was the right forum to post in

I'm on 98SE and the wheel works like any other wheel. Fly it up and down and things go up and down...press it down and the little double arrow icon shows up on screen, allowing for fast scrolling. I'm only using generic Windows drivers, not the Boomslang software. The software makes no difference in its performance I discovered...the only thing you get out of it is the on the fly sensitivty adjustment.
