is it possible to bind a multi-key combination to launch a macro? this seems trivial, and yet as far as I can tell, their software only allows binding a single key at a time...
 
Not with the included software. You might be able to try some third party software e.g. I use Xmouse instead of my mouses driver.

What exactly are you trying to do though? Most people trying to do macros with a razer product are doing it in a game, and any respectable game engine will allow you to script a +Meta type bind.
 
I'm trying to bind a few keys for the inventory in warcraft 3 to move them from the numpad to the left side of the keyboard. I dug up an old autohotkey script for it, but I figured I'd try out the razer software. seems odd you can't bind multiple keys. almost useless, given most keys are taken up by commands RTS games.
