Is Pug the most powerful Magician / Wizard in Fiction?

i'm rereading this series. it'd been a very long time since i read it. it's great series. but you gotta love pug and WOW, is he amazing or what.

also, like i said it's been a long time since i read it, does Feist ever tell you where pug came from? who his parents were?

It's arguable that Pug is more powerful than Macros the Black from the same series as he seems to be able to do many things that Pug can't. Let's see, Merlin is a wimp, Gandalf a charlatan who only does parlor tricks, maybe Belgarath? He could do some serious ****.

I thought David Copperfield was the most powerful magician. His greatest trick was getting Claudia Schiffer to marry him, although the spell was later broken.

Regardless, i think pug is probably my favorite MAJOR powerful wizard in all of the fantasy books i've read.
