Whats the trick to the cow toss?

You're required to toss the cow 60 meters(?) to pass the trial. I can't get it much past 35 meters. The rocket bar at the top is maxed out and there are flames coming out of the back of the rocket.

whats the deal?

yes, playing on the wii.
when is the right time? like i said, i get the rocket bar almost totally full and its showing flames coming out the bottom of it, so i let go and it goes flying out into the field and bounces a few times. 35.51 meters is my longest throw.

You have to stop spinning the controller before hitting the button to throw the cow. Act like you're throwing a lasso, point your arm forward, wait half a second (or some brief pause), and then press the button. For whatever reason, the game won't throw the cow properly if you're still spinning.

Threw it just fine for me, and I didn't make any pause.

that did it. i waited a second after i stopped and threw it and got 105.32 meters!

i bored of my wii now ;(

Zelda = finished the game, 40hrs of great fun but game has sound issues ;( hate the ****** speaker on the controller, the static and low quality crappy sound coming from the controller pissed me off.
Rayman = didn't like it
Monkey Ball = I have no idea why i bought it
Wii sport = 5mins of fun and never looked back but did tried to play with my GF
Tumor center = borrowed it off my friend and played it for few hrs and gave it back... the game is just like the DS version

Now i am back to playing Viva Pinata ... my garden is on level 34
