Ravenshield 1.6 no oc or oc even retail version help!!!

I bought the a64 3200 90nm and oc'ed it because i wanted to play all my favorite games at high res and with great graphics so i did so.. i used to play ravenshield on my 2.4c intel with a gf4 mx 440 and only 256 ram.. so i bought this with a bfg 6800gt and a gig of pc3200 ocz plat rev 2... i found out at 2.6 i wasnt stable in ravenshield so i went back and went to 2.5 and it still didnt work.. so for fun i set back to default and it still wouldnt work.. i had my friend also try this game at stock version and it crashed on his and even when he set his to stock.. so we think its a problem with the 6800gt drivers or maybe just the a64's and this games programming... so i was wondering if anyone knows why me and him and thousands of others get this general protection fault... and crash's... no matter if u are playing online or just exiting out of the title screen.. i turned off hardware acceleration for sound like they said didnt work.. launched from the .exe from main folder... no goes... idk if its a driver conflict or anything but if someone has some sort of idea of how to fix this ... beacuse I know its not my oc'ing so thoughts suggestions? tweaks? fix's? should i try another driver ? idk... because i know it worked fine on an intel... so its gotta be the game and amd...???? HELP !!!!
