Raven Shield error message.

Is anyone haveing problems running raven shield? Some times when I try to play the game I get a error message, "Error signature

AppName: ravenshield.exr AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: ~df394b.tmp
ModVer: 0000 Offset: 0004e8ed "


Then other times it lets me get right in and play. It is about a 85/15 split, 85 not letting me in. I think all my hardware should be good for the game; p4 2.66, ATI 8500LE 128mb, 1 gig DDR ram, Gigabyte 8inxp (e7205 chipset), onboard sound, and Directx 9. Any suggestions let me know.
