I am trying to decide which new compact SUV should I buy. I reduced the choice to three models that I got their respective out the door prices to a difference of 2,000$.
They all fit my needs in terms of safety, cargo space, space, etc. I plan to sell it in 3-5 years and don't care about fuel efficiency too much because my yearly mileage will be pretty low.
2019 Toyota Rav4 LE, AWD:
Pros:
Least expected depreciation, largest cargo, just being Toyota ;). Cons: No android auto (I think this one is not supposed to be that important, but is important to me), louder engine.
2019 Hyundai Tucson Value, AWD:
Pros:
Nicest exterior, added features (heated seats+mirrors, power seats, blind spot+rear traffic warning, blue link, etc.), Lowest price. Longest warranty (5 years, can help with selling down the line). Cons: Highest expected depreciation, smallest cargo, just being Hyundai ;).
2020 Subaru Forester standard, AWD:
Pros:
It's a 2020 model (which I think down the line will help with selling price), most enjoyable ride and interior. Cons: Highest price.
Of course most of what I wrote in terms of pros/cons is based on my opinion.
Thanks for any advice/suggestion.

How about a used Tuscon? Hyundai is making some nice products in recent years but the depreciation is still bad. So, while I like the product it just doesn't make sense to buy new.

Oh, and the problem with the Forester is it needs more power. We have 2015 and I wish we had bought the turbo. That's not even an option for 2020.

Lack of Android Auto would be a deal breaker for me. How about the CR-V? Really, I dont think you could go wrong with any of them. I have a Suburu Impreza, and love the symmetrical full time AWD. It could use a bit more horsepower though, as could the Forester, Legacy, and Outback with the base engine. I also love the eyesight package. It has just the right driver assist features for what I want. I definitely would not buy a new car without adaptive cruise control. I think it is standard on the Forester, Rav4 and CR-V. I think the Tuscon is nice as well. Maybe get a CPO model, which would keep the 5 year bumper to bumper warranty in effect.
