I used a Ratpadz GS for a short while with my MX510. After only a month or two flat spots started to develop over where the feet are. Can't say I was too impressed. Now I just use my keyboard tray with no pad.

I've played with both pads, and both are very nice. They're both about the same size, pretty large. Overall, I think the fUnc 1030 is MUCH better. I love the smooth side and the look.

Neither. I have Ratpadz, Func, and X-ray. I prefer the x-ray it's similar to the func but it's bigger.

everglide destruct megamat, 1030. If you find a good pricing on it under $20 including shipping let me know.

C4 Mousepad. Ratpadz GS is the most over rated mousepad, ever, IMO. Wore out my MX700 feet in 2 weeks. Bumpy as hell, unpleasant experience.

How's that C4 pad? Right now I'm looking between the X-Ray Thunder 8 and Thunder 9. They're both the same price at Newegg.

I have a Ratpadz GS, and its ok. I've had it for 2 years, and it has slightly smooth parts on the main surface area. Despite that, the mice still track well. I have no complaints about the product, but its only a mouse pad.

Baked says his MX700 feet were worn out after 2 weeks, I've had my MX500 on it for about 4-5 months, and its feet are still there.

I say go with whichever one you think looks better.

Smooth. You should give 'em a try. 3 different sizes, regular to jumbo. Cheap compared to other pads.

MX700 feet are really small. MX500 has bigger feet.

I've had a Func 1030 for over a year and it's been pretty good to me w/ my MX500 then MX510, I've tried a couple few other pads and seem to have the best luck w/ the Func one.

This is about as subjective a question as you can get. Since my serious fps days quakeworld and q2 lithium to ra3...I've found that everyone is going to have an opinion on a mousing surface. There's a comfort zone for some people with certain pads and no amount of convincing will change that. That said, I've gone form the 3m, to Logitech wingman (3m surface ona thick rubber bottom...very good feel) to a Everglide and finally I'm using the rough side of a func 1030. I coudln't stand the slippery feel of the everglide and the smooth side of hte 1030. By the same token other's despise the "rough" feel of hte 3m's and hte rougher side of the 1030. I'd suggest the 1030 for the sole reason that it offer's two distinctly different mousing surfaces...

Ok, I'll go with the Func 1030, I just need for it to be back in stock at Newegg unless somebody has any other suggestions.
