Rational thought prevails, "evolution" will stay in the Georgia curriculum.

Yes Kathy, you're an idiot.
State Schools Superintendent Kathy Cox, in a press release Thursday morning, said she would ask that the word evolution be put back in the state's proposed curriculum.

"I made the decision to remove the word evolution from the draft of the proposed biology curriculum in an effort to avoid controversy that would prevent people from reading the substance of the document itself," wrote Cox. "Instead, a greater controversy ensued."

"I am here to tell you that I misjudged the situation and I want to apologize for that. I want you to know today that I will recommend ... that the word evolution be put back in the curriculum," said Cox in the press release.
You can all go back to making fun of Alabama now, nothing more to see here. :p

Well the curriculum still supports science teachers presenting creationism in the classroom so you might have already prevailed.
