Rational Rose is the worst piece of software I have ever used.

It is so full of modal, unresizable dialog windows that I find it impossible to do any reasonable amount of design work with it, so what I wind up doing is going straight to code, and then attempting to reverse-engineer relationships and sequence diagrams from there.

Except now, whenever I attempt to reverse-engineer my Java classes, the application traps.

I have no idea why anyone considers this a useful tool.

Which of their software? Clearcase? Visio? I agree Visio is horrible. Clearcase on the other hand is awesome.

Rational Studio is pretty powerful software suite. Unfortunately in our company's case, we had a jackA$$ implementing it and its never has work right for us. Let say Rational tech support is on first name bases with the guy who considers himself a Rational administrator.
