Ratio Question

hi

i am new to overclocking...have tried to read as much as possible...

i have my e6420 in a P5B-E mobo and my current settings are fsb@333 and Ram @667
my Ram is corsair xms 5400 DDR2-667

so right now i am at the 1:1 ratio with my vcore @ 1.325 and i get 2.66 Ghz (8x333)

my multiplier options in BIOS are 6,7 or 8 (default)

i tested with orthos and tat and all seems stable with temps in CoreTemp maxing out at 62C (stock cooling)...i have not tried to lower vcore any further yet

if i go up to say 375 fsb this will take me out of the 1:1 ratio, correct?

does it matter as long as i run stable?

my only BIOS options for dram freq are "auto", 533,667,800,1066 so i can't tweak this setting in the same way as the fsb

thanks in advance for any help

peace

The lowest memory ratio on the P965 is 1:1, so if you go up to 375 MHz, your memory will go to DDR2-750 speeds.
