Odd one this...
Windows XP SP1
Nero Version: 5.5.9.2 (Nero Express)
Asus 5224A IDE CD-RW
80Gb IDE HDD
I can copy a CD no problem. When I choose a selection of files from the hard disk and try and burn I get the following error with Nero Express:

I have tried burning at different speeds, using a different brand of CD-R. This is a new machine and as such is the first time I have tried to burn a CD. If there is a problem what could it be and how do I pursuade the manufacturer that it is a hardware not software problem?
One curious thing is that my HDD is detected as a SCSI device when in fact it is a standard IDE drive using standard PATA Cable.
