Rather newb question on rechargeable NiMH batteries.

I bought some Energizer NiMH 1800Mah batteries for my bro to use with his digicam as a gift (Sony - if that makes any difference). I'm assuming that his charger that came with his digicam should have no prob with these batteries or any other NiMH batteries for that matter?

Did I assume right?

If the charger is designed for NiMH batteries, it will work. All rechargable battery types work differently and require different charging strategies coded into the charge processor.

I have been charging my NiMH batteries with my NiCd charger...has reduced the NiMH batteries to less than 25% of their original charge capacity


As LE said, providing the charger is designed for NiMH batteries, then it will be fine
