Rather, Brokaw and Jennings all gone.

amazing. i first noticed world news tonight on ABC after Peter Jennings took over in the mid 70's. i don't remember the guys before brokaw or rather very well either, except of course walter cronkite, who doesn't know him.

amazing a generational transition in news anchors. those three guys pretty much defined the world till now.

and yes, i know it's been a while since each of the three stepped down for varios reasons, the thought just struck me tho how much the world had changed.

Man, I haven't watched the news in a while.. but yeah, I grew up with those guys.

I was really sad when Jennings died. It was weird.

Are they all dead? I can't remember.

i think only jennings is dead. rather is retired and brokaw is retired in shame. isn't brokaw the one that used bad source material as news?

Backwards

Brokaw was NBC
Rather was CBS and used "tainted" sources for information related to President George W. Bush's alleged military service.

Mine as well.

I liked Brokaw, but I never really watched any of them...

I went with cable news and I went through school watching Brian Williams on MSNBC who's now the replacement for NBC Nightly news...
