I see nothing lame about it. If you like cars, go to car site. If you like naked girls, go to a porn site. Nothing hard about it.

Thank you guys for the support (you know who you are)

For those of you who think it's stupid: The site hasn't even opened yet -- and you obviously aren't going to be visiters/participants anyway -- so please stay out of my thread as well

If you have constructive comments/questions, then by all means, please pipe up. :)

I think there is certainly an audience who supports this idea, and for those of you opposing it, you are directly insulting their desire to participate -- you wasting time replying to something that is of no interest of you is stupider than the idea of the site itself (no matter how stupid it may be). ;)

The site will open, there is no question to that. (Give me about 2 weeks)

Actually, if you like naked girls and go to a porn site I can imagine something being hard about it :p

Got thirty-odd computers running out here, but the two that I'm typing at right now include Roo, which is a dual liquid-cooled 2.66GHz Xeons, Supermicro XDAL-G mainboard, 2GB memory--should probably bump that up a bit--a 160GB boot drive, and eight 250GB drives in the main array running off of a Broadcom Raidcore PCI-X SATA raid controller. When I took this picture it had just 9800SE video card in it, but I've since switched that out for a Quadro 950XGL. Yeah, it's not the neatest cabling job either.

Kanga, is a little neater in the cabling department, but it's also more modest. It's liquid-cooled as well and has 2GB of memory, but it's a single 3GHz P4, has just 160 and 250 gig drives, and a Matrox P650 video card (fanless and dual-DVI; I wanted quiet more than I wanted the fastest on the block).

Both of them have all their DVD burners, floppy drives, DLT drives, and DAT drives in external cases, either SCSI or USB. That way I don't have to put the machines themselves within easy reach.

Oh, yeah, I've also got a couple of laptops running next to me and a 3GHz P4 865-based machine with a couple of DVD burners in it that I'm using to duplicate DVDs at the moment.

Not state of the art, I admit, but I've had 'em for a while.

And what bank did you rob?

Never done that, actually. Most often, I end up being an evil overlord bent on world domination, though last week I was an evil record company executive (presuming that's not redundant). Before that, recently I've been an airline captain, a Viking ship captain, a pirate captain (hmmmm...seems like a trend here), and a couple of miscellaneous terrorist and or psycho types. Never a bank robber or, now that I think of it, a robber of any kind so far. It's possible I might wind up as a wild west gunslinger in the next two or three weeks...could be some bank robbing going on there, but I don't have all the details yet.
