Heatsink ? Swiftech MC462 (Bare Heatsink) ? (Sidewindercomputers.com; $54)
*Note ? When ordering, in comments, add the comments ?please include 1.5? screws? or ?to mount the delta fan on the bare heatsink?*
All MC462s are Revision 01 to fit Asus A7m266 and Iwill KA266 boards. This will not fit Asus A7A266.

The MC462 Bare Heatsink comes with mounting accessories only for Socket A processors. We recommend purchasing this heatsink with a Sunon 80x25mm High Speed fan if the full MC462 units are unavailable.

Fan ? (To be mounted on heatsink) Delta 80x38 FFB0812SHE - (plug via 4-pin connector) (Sidewindercomputers.com; $15.50)
Specs ? 80x80x38, 68.51 CFM @ 4900 RPM

Card Blower ? GlobalWIN CAF12 ? (Sidewindercomputers.com; $17.50)
From GlobalWIN, the CAF12 helps keep your system cards cool. It features a brushless Innovative BP1202512M 120x25mm fan that moves a generous 63.5 CFM. The CAF12 installs in less than a minute and doesn't eat up a PCI slot. GlobalWIN's tests indicate a 7-degree drop in system temperature, and this is not too far off from what The Techzone reports.

Specifications: 147x120x45.5mm, 63.5 CFM @ 2900 rpm, 46 dBA, 3.00w, .25a, 12v DC, 4-pin Molex connector. (Note: this 46 dB doesn't sound anything like the 46 dB of the black label Delta)

Fan ? (Inside/Front of Case) Panaflo 80x25 47CFM 3 pin (Millisec.com; $14)
These Panaflo fans are NEW current distribution channel stock and are PROFESSIONALLY WIRED.

NOTE: The specs listed here ARE CORRECT. It would seem Panasonic has the wrong specs listed on their site. The fan label specifies .36 amps which at 12V = 4.32 watts.

Yes you read it right, 47 CFM of howling, 7 blade, industrial quality fan made in Japan.

3450 RPM, 12v, 4.32 watts, .36 amps, 38.2 dba.

At 38 dba its barely louder than your run of the mill 80mm case fan(at 32-34 dba). This fan will ship with 300mm/12" lead prewired with a 3 pin connecter. It is not RPM sensing.

NOTE: consider a fan guard... it has sharp blades spinning very fast. Also I don't recommend plugging into motherboard connect. May be plugged into newer motherboard connectors rated at >4.32 watts.

This is not a ball bearing fan but rather Panasonics patented hydro-wave sleeve technology. The thrust wear, caused by axial friction, typical in sleeve fans is virtually eliminated by the oil bath the sleeve floats on.

Fan ? (Modded, 92mm hole on TOP of case) Panaflo 92x25 56.9CFM 3 pin RPM(Low Noise) (Millisec.com; $14)
These Panaflo fans are NEW current distribution channel stock and are PROFESSIONALLY WIRED.

3 pin RPM industrial quality fan made in Japan from Panasonic.

At 35 dba it?s barely louder than your run of the mill 80mm case fan(at 32-35 dba).

This is not a ball bearing fan but rather Panasonics patented hydro-wave sleeve technology. The thrust wear, caused by axial friction, typical in sleeve fans is virtually eliminated by the oil bath the sleeve floats on.

Panaflo FBA09A12H1BX
12V DC, Voltage Range 7-13.5V, 2.70W, 56.9CFM, 3.98(mmH2O), 35.0dBA

Fan ? (Modded, Side of Case) Sunon 92x25 51CFM 4 pin (Millisec.com; $9)
Quality Sunon 92mm high output fan with 4-pin pass thru connector cable.

KD1209PTB1-6A/B
12v DC Ball Bearing

0.23A, 2.8W, 3000RPM, 51CFM, 37Dba

Total Cost - $1884.93

Sweet system!!!

The only things I would personally change are:
Pioneer DVD-116 16X (instead of the 106)... according to articles I read, the 116 is much better... look into it...
Plextor 16X/10X/40X ... Plextor make the best CD-RW, that's all.
Abit KG7 (AMD761/686B, 4DDR) ... I'm not a big fan of Epox...

many will advice you to NOT get an IBM... I personally have an IBM 45GB 75GXP and I don't have problems with it... I'd stick with IBM...

have fun with that system!

Since you seem to be going for the ultimate system, and are spending a good deal, I woul;d reccomend better speakers. The Creative Labs speakers imo are desgined to showcase the features of creative labs sound cards, but do not sound as good as the offerings by Klipsch. The Klipsch 4.1s, 5.1s, 2.1s, and v2 4200s are all excellent speakers. However, with the sound of the fans, a good set of headphones might be preferable, in which case I would get Grado SR-60s (check hot deals forum for a good price)

I've rather stay with lite-on because to me they are reliable while others might prefer the brand name 2 be reliable and plus its cheaper and can almost as well as plextor can so im stickin with Lite-On

Maybe I sound crazy but i think that DTT3500 is 2nd best 2 the Klipsch speakers but the Klipsch are just 2 expensive and i dont want the 4.1 or the 5.1s
Let's see 400 dollars compare to 227
Even though they are the ultimate I still think that DTT3500 are 2nd best 2 em and i save $100+ for something a lil better
Seems like im going for the ultimate system i think i am but hey this is g00d enough 4 me just wanted 2 see what u guys think of it
thx a lot 4 the comments
keep em goin

In terms of speakers, I've heard that the BA4800s are superior to the DTT3500s. I purchased them and am very pleased with them. The sound is flawless, the base can be enormous if you so choose. Though they don't have the power of the Klipsch, they can still "get a call from the neighbors" :v). It's your call, but for half the price, I would choose the BA4800s. I guess that it is choosing a 4.1 vs. a 5.1, but I don't have a single complaint about not having sound coming from directly in front of me.

Here is a BA4800 review

Here is a DTT3500 review from the same place:

Hope that helps.
