RAIDMAX Black 10-bay Case with 420W - $44.75 - I got this because of the PS and because I like the style
DFI "LANPARTY UT nF3 250Gb" NVIDIA nForce3 250GB Chipset Motherboard For AMD Socket 754 CPU - $99
AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 512KB L2 Cache - Newcastle core - $148
Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series, (Twin Pack) 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200 - $201.27
Thermaltake Venus 12 CPU Cooler For AMD Opteron and Athlon 64 - $29.99
200GB Western Digital (I think) 7200 RPM - $50 (Black Friday sale)
BFG Nvidia 6800 GT Oc - $399.99

Total = $970

Rate it out of 10. I am also wondering if I get that power supply, what happens if something goes wrong with it? Could it damage some of the components in my computer?

Dude, with that 6800 GT I would be running a QUALITY PS, not a PS you get with a case for $44. You will need at LEAST a quality 480 watt PS (Antec, Fortron, OCZ). I wouldn't skip on the PS.

everything's fine except for the case and psu. they are absolute crap. get the antec sonata at compusa for $70 on black friday if you can. it's a beautiful and elegant case, super quiet, and has a powerful 380W psu, which far better hten that raidmax one.

An Antec 380w would be fine, but definatly don't run with that crappy generic 420w that comes with that case, I lost a $180 motherboard by using a generic 400w PSU.
