Rate My Rig For Bf4

im currently very anxious for Battlefield 4 just pre ordered the game along with premium...doing the jump from boring console games to bigger pc games 😀 i would like to run above console graphic's wich i think are ''Medium'' and i play at 1680x1050 resolution here are my computer's spec's

Processor: Intel I5 3570 @ 3.40Gh.z (ivory Bridge)
Gpu: Geforce Gtx 650 Ti Boost (2Gb)
Ram:8g 2x 4g Hyper X Kingston(might need to confirm brand xD)
Motherboard: AsusTek P8b75-M
O.S: Windows 7 Ultimate

so hope this is everything needed to tell me if i could handle High Graphics on my current Setup with a nice 50+ fps 😀

I had a 7850 which is similar to your gpu in performance,1200p being a higher resolution then yours was not a issue for this card running all high settings without MSAA or motion blur enabled in BF3,the lowest i saw dips to was about 54fps on maps like Metro and CQ,so you should be set.

awesome thank you very much 😀 was thinking off getting an SSD to further my fps if it would help 😀

A ssd does help load times but you won't see even a hairline increase in fps,a ssd is the best investment for virtually any pc period, even a pos pentium 4 tower benefits greatly lol as you get out of the stone age of worrying about defragging your drive which is a big no no on a ssd and well your system will fly off the handle.

Your resolution is low enough that a 650 TI would be enough. However it remains to be seen how BF4 runs. The fact that the consoles will run it at 720p is probably a hint that this game will be extremely demanding.

I run BF3 with medium settings on a Q9650 8GB and a GTX260. 64 player maps are fine, not sure of fps but it looks good to me. I doubt BF4 will require radically different specs

Edit: at 1680x1050

This was from the Alpha. So looking at this you can see that a 650ti is pretty weak for this game at the highest settings at 1080p. Turn AA off and drop some stuff down to get playable fps. Since you are running a lower resolution you should see better results than this. It will be better optimized at release and we will have some better drivers for it from Nvidia and AMD, but it gives you an idea.

Those numbers look like absolute crap for BF4,i know its Alpha but still they look pretty bad and i also noticed VHQ in those settings. Is ultra is disabled currently cause wow i could only see it being worst.

It actually doesn't look too terrible... not only is it alpha, no optimizations for the drivers and these are high settings. At least in the OP's case, his resolution is lower too.

I think VHQ is max now. I would rather the game be demanding than to look like cod.

Those statistics only show 4 more fps for a 7970 ghz. I am getting it for ps4 first but when I buy it for pc I'll most likely mix and match some settings between ultra and high with some options turned off. I did that for bf3 and it ran great.

I wouldn't be too terribly concerned about them, considering those are maximum settings.

I remember seeing charts exactly like this when BF3 was getting ready for release, and the measly little ATI 5850 I had at the time ran it just fine with lower settings. I would expect these numbers to change quite a bit by the time they're done optimizing and the new GPU drivers are released.

The engine is very scalable, and I doubt anybody with a decent card will have a hard time running it (and the OP noted he only wants to run around medium).

Running it with everything maxed is a completely different topic. 😉

Wait until it releases to upgrade. Afaik amd is giving away a copy of bf4 with their next gen video cards. Upgrade and free game.

I have the 7850 currently and it runs almost everything at high/ultra. Only thing that makes it lock up is Crysis 2. It happens at random times. I can have it on Ultra and will not have any stutter problems. Play it for an hour then bam everything locks up and I have to alt tab out of the game to close it.

Your machine more than meets the recommended specs. If you want the absolute top graphics settings and 120hz or 3 screens then you definitely need more. Just wait for the game and see how much you loose and decide from there.

I have a regular 7850 2GB card. What CPU do you suggest I get?

I am thinking 4670k? or maybe 4770k?
