Abit NF7-S
2400+m
Kingston Hyper-X pc2700
6800 GT

I can't seem to get it up to 200 mhrz and have it stable, and I am confused. I don't think it is my ram because at 200 mhrz fsb, my RAM is at 333 mhrz and 5-2-2-2 (which is what it's advertised as). Does anyone have any advice on how I should go about getting my processor higher than this? Should I raise the voltages a tad and see?

*confuzzled*

Anyway, thanks for your feeback

Wouldn't you say your OC at 2,384 GHz is pretty darn good for a 2400+ Mobile? I would be VERY satisfied with that result! That's over 3200+ speeds.

Try lowering your multiplier if you want to raise your FSB still.

What's your temps at that speed by the way, and what hsf do you use?

Are you running your ram in sync? Maybe your timings are too agressive...it is possible your ram is holding you back but depending upon your 2400-M your overclock might be as high as you can go.

I would relax the timings on your memory and try to push its speed a bit. IIRC, it is best for the FSB on an NF2 to run in sync with RAM.

that's a A with that cooler...A chip.

You need to give volts to that memory. try 2.9 vdimm 2-3-2-9 @200 then run memtest86 test 5 if that passes try 2-2-2-9 same speed. Then if that passes start upping FSB.

all the while keeping processor speed low to eliminate it as a variable....ie set multi to 8 or so.

OK guys, I've tried a bit more tweaking and I am currently sitting at 2388ghrz (217x11), I am currently idling at 102*F and I got a max temp of 125*F. I am shooting for a possible 220x11, but who knows if I'll get it. And my volts are 1.775

Here are my questions, how much is too hot? What is a good warning for it? Since my memory is running oc'ed should I have any worries or precautions (the timings are 6.5-3-3-6 at 181 mhrz, up from 5-2-2-2 at 166mhrz, heat I don't think is an issue because I have ram sinks on them)

I am loving this chip so much, I got a 60.1 FPS on the Doom 3 timedemo.

And I really appraciate your help throughout this.

EDIT: and what's this about running my memory in sync with my chip? Help the n00b please :p
