Ok, I am not up to speed as I have taken two years off the "computer world". Please help me pick a video card though as I am absolutely clueless in ths department. I would like to play games like BF2142, Warhammer, just stuff like that. I would like to keep the video card between $200 and $400. Please tell me anything you see here that will not work together as well. What about Windows Vista? Is this going to really be necessary for us home users anytime in the near future? Thanks!!

Would you reccomend this or standard XP?

Very similiar to a build that I just built for myseld. A couple of things:

1. Are you sure about the Antec PSU? I would go another direction.
2. Standard XP, not x64 for gaming.
3. Do you plan to use the retail HSF??? I haven't heard good things about its performance or loudness.

I actually have that same motherboard and CPU and this card runs BF2142 and other games very well.

If youre willing to spend a little bit more and stay within youre 300-400$ budget, this card would perform a bit better than the 7950GT.

Although ^^ that card is currently out of stock on newegg, you could probably find it on other sites, im too lazy to search for it myself. :)

Oh and this http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16817341001 psu might give you a little more bang for your buck in the PSU department.
