Makes a great system for mom & pop to check their emails & surf a little bit.

I added a memory bench, i am about 100 mb/s so its doing quite well now. :)

I have to thank Peter over in the mobo section for helping me get this thing going right...I was getting 17 mb/s when I first got it.

I am excited to see how much improvment a video card will add to the package , am also interested in finding out if more ram will help. These old PC are fun!

Oh I also got rid of the heatsink tape and added some Arctic Silver instead...too bad I dont have higher mutilpiers to work with.

Thats cool you overclocked a K62. I have an HP Kayak XU with a PIII 600mhz CPU, and we cant even overclock it.

Nice System! 10/10:thumbsup:

If only you'd have bumped that RAM up to 256mb, I would have given it a perfect "Kick-Ass 10"!
But the way it is now, it only gets a 9.5 from me. Better luck next time!

value... from what I have read abut the k62 it is somewhat limited in sofar as its o/c ability... i was going to try it with my old one and I ran into a dead end. Not much perfomance was to be had. The best thing i did though was give it more ram. Helped a bunch.

Good Luck

Today I added an MX4000 video card and an ethernet card.. memory bandwidth read and write jumped to about 155 mb/s , a full 300% faster than what this PC was doing when I first got it. :)

edit: I also added a pic of the back...its cool the Hewlett Packard back plate fit!!
