Putting together a machine to last me through the year and here is what I have so far. Let me know what you think or what to change.

I could also use some info on a psu.

- EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard
- 2 x EVGA 512-P3-N841-AR GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB
- Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0ghz
- mushkin 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 996593

Other parts I have sitting around that will go into the rig:
Antec 900
2 x WD 150gig Raptors

That could be a very nice setup. Or it could be a colossal waste of money. Or it might not be powerful enough.

However, we have no way of knowing unless you're a little bit more specific about the computer's intended use, the size of your monitor, the budget you're working with, etc. I would recommend that fill out the questions in the stickied thread.

I was more concerned about all the parts working well together and was looking to see if others out there have similar setups. Especially the memory with this mobo since I've never used Mushkin before but Ive heard good things about it.

Also looking for some psu reccommendations. I think 850w should be enough and not be too much overkill.

The use is mostly for gaming and probably do a moderate overclock on the rig. Budget is not that big of a deal, the price on these parts now after rebates is a little over 1k. For my monitor I'm running a 30" Dell.

Sounds like you're pretty much set then. No reason the parts shouldn't work together, and 750W would actually be plenty. (As long as it's a quality 750W PSU. I would much rather have a quality 700-750W PSU for that setup than a middle of the road/crappy 850W.)
