ok so i am most definatly buying a computer in the future and need some help, i have looked at some hardware that i might buy, that is if it is worth it. So if you can rate my future rig(1-10) and also give me any advice on the parts i should replace in my setup that would be great. So here it is:

Case: Asus Vento 3600
MotherBoard: ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe
CPU: AMD Athlon X2 4200+
RAM(help me decide or just give me a new suggestion): G.Skill Extreme Series 2GB, Corsair XMS 2GB, Kingston Hyper X 1GB(2 x 512)
HardDrive: Western Digital Caviar SE16
Graphics Card: eVGA GeForce 7800GTX
Optical Drive: Pioneer Black IDE DVD Burner
CPU Fan: Zalman CNPS9500
Power Suply: Antec Smartpower 2.0 SP-500W

so again just post a 1-10 on the performance of this system and also just what you think, and some some tips on other hardware that would be better at around the same price.
Thanks

1-10 ratings are utter bilge, waste of time rubbish.

Case: Ugly as sin, but if you like it then by all means
Motherboard: It's nice, but the A8R MVP is just as good for single card use and a lot cheaper i belive.
CPU: If you're going to overclock then just get the 3800X2, both will hit 2.4Ghz safely, probably higher. Think about the Opteron 165, it's better if you can find it.
RAM: Save your money on this and get budget RAM (2gb), the performance difference is small and money you save can get a better GPU
HD: Fine
GPU: X1900XT, you can afford one if you save a bit elsewhere and it thrashes the 7800GTX like a ginger stepkid.
Optical drive: BenQ 1655 or 1640 are better, NEC are also better than that.
CPU fan: Alright, nothing special.
PSU: Not a great choice, if you're not going SLI then get a 400W fortron or Enermax liberty, maybe the antec Neo HE.

yea, that case is the ugliest POS i've ever seen... get a better one, such as the thermaltake soprano or something. anything except that case you have picked out.

The GTX is a great card and will be able to play any game you want right now at good settings, but ill have to agree with everyone else here on the X1900XT video card. That thing will just pawn the GTX.

um if your going with an SLI board, why are you not getting an SLI certified PSU? Get the 550 watt antec trupower II for 84 dollars at newegg.

get the 2 GB set. with selecting the GTX it looks like your a big gamer, so 2 GB's of RAM certainly wont hurt.

If you plan on overclocking, get heatpreaders and very low timings. Also, get this type of aftermarket heatsink/fan:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835185125

maximum PC recommends this a lot, and its at a great price, so this will be better than the one you have.

Rating huh? well, i should be nice and rate this one a 4/10 for a piss-poor selection of parts, especially the case. That case is just too expensive and ugly. Get a better one for half the price. Another point loss for the PSU not being SLI certified with the SLI motherboard.
