Draft 1, Aug 3rd live draft i was unable to attend (parentheses denotes round selected) 10 teams 4th in the draft order

QB Brooks, Aaron (QB-NO) (5)
WR Hilliard, Ike (WR-NYG) (8)
WR White, Dez (WR-Chi) (11 Mark Brunell Waived for White)
RB Williams, Ricky (RB-Mia) (1)
RB Holmes, Priest (RB-KC) (2)
TE Gonzalez, Tony (TE-KC) (4)
WR/RB Tomlinson, LaDainian (3)
Bench Pathon, Jerome (WR-NO) (6)
Bench Garner, Charlie (RB-Oak) (10)
Bench Patten, David (WR-NE) (13)
Bench Henry, Travis (RB-Buf) (14)
Bench Bryant, Antonio (WR-Dal) (15 TE Jay Riemersma Waived for Bryant)

K Akers, David (K-Phi) (9)

DEF St. Louis (DEF-StL) (12)
Bench New York (DEF-NYJ) (7)

I am pissed about pathon and the jets D being 6th and 7th round picks, but i dont think you can get a better squad of RB's. The WR's are terrible and i dont really like brooks, but this is a team i think i can win with.

Draft #2 Live Aug 24 12 teams 3rd in draft order

QB Warner, Kurt (QB-StL) (1)
WR Chambers, Chris (WR-Mia) (4)
WR McCardell, Keenan (WR-TB) (7)
WR Ismail, Qadry (WR-Ind) (8)
RB Bettis, Jerome (RB-Pit) (2)
RB Thomas, Anthony (RB-Chi) (3)
TE --empty--
Bench Lewis, Jamal (RB-Bal) (5)
Bench White, Dez (WR-Chi) (10)
Bench Alexander, Derrick (9)
Bench Stallworth, Donte' (12)
Bench Carter, Quincy (QB-Dal) (14)
Bench Thompson, Derrius (15)
Bench Duckett, T.J. (13)

K Gramatica, Bill (K-Ari) (11)

DEF Pittsburgh (DEF-Pit) (6)

Did not go as well. With a WR slot instead of WR/RB, I started drafting a ton of WR's. Only need 3/7 of them to have respectable seasons. And I need either lewis or bettis to not get injured. Bill Gramatica was a terrible pick because i forgot about his injury last year. I didn't draft a TE since gonzalez and pollard went early 4th round. I didn't see the point of wasting a draft choice one one so i'll wait until week one. I dont know if i can win this league.

what do you think?

depends on how the scoring is in your league.

Tony Gonzalez isn't even in camp, but they 'expect' him to play in the first regular season game.

How many teams are in each league?

You took Ricky Williams in the first round!? that is a terrible pick.

I would never have drafted Quincy Carter either. there are plenty of decent QB's for a backup before him.

Sorry for the brutal honesty...but you got it.

I think your second team is better than your first considering there are 12 teams in the second league and only 10 in the first. With only 10 teams in the league, you should have much more solid players. Regardless, in both cases, you have crap for WRs (save for maybe Chris Chambers and Ismail). You should be able to pick up some WR sleepers here and there if you're on the ball though.

As for picking up Ricky Williams in the 1st round, that's a toss up. Most people rate him as the 4th best RB in this years FFL drafts only behind Faulk, Green, and Alexander so picking him 1st round isn't the worst thing to do like the last guy mentioned. I do have my doubts about him though.

Without even looking at the other teams, I would rate both your teams as about average. I would be pretty surprised if you made it all the way with either of your current teams.

I don't know what these people are talking about, Ricky Williams should be a first rounder in any 10-12 team league.

Remember, he wasn't present for the live draft, so it probably didnt go exactly how he would have wanted.

On a side note, here is the draft from our 10 team league (I had the 1st pick):

1. RB Faulk, Marshall
2. QB Favre, Brett
3. WR Horn, Joe
4. WR Johnson, Keyshawn
5. TE Pollard, Marcus
6. D Pittsburgh
7. K Elam, Jason
8. RB Pittman, Michael
9. Bench Vick, Michael
10. Bench Burress, Plaxico
11. Bench Foster, DeShaun
12. Bench Ismail, Qadry
13. Bench Jones, Freddie
14. Bench Portis, Clinton
15. Bench McCaffrey, Ed
16. Bench Green, Trent

I am thinking of dumping Green in leiu of Randle El (who is on the waiver wire). I normally wouldn't take a kicker and D so early, but I told myself I was only going to take one so I wanted them to be good. Plus the kicker will probably wind up being someone I pick up off of waivers. :D

I would hold off on Randle El. Although he's showed some good promise, he's still 3rd string behind Ward and Burress.

If you're completely adamant about picking him up though, drop Freddie Jones instead. Trent Green may have some value later on.

Yeah, I am having a hard time dumping Green. As the last pick in the draft, it didn't really matter who I took but I know he should have some people to throw to this year (Gonzalez, Morton, etc), plus Holmes coming out of the backfield.

I will probably hold off on Randle El, considering I already have Burress.
