Buying a TL w/out the NAVI is dumb....it's a whole different car with it. It's like buying a 4cyl Mustang.

I think that's a little strong, don't you?

There are several good reasons to buy a TL without NAVI, particularly since you're paying literally thousands more for it. While I agree that the NAVI unit is awesome (especially with the voice recognition aspect), I wouldn't call it "dumb" to buy a TL without it.

In fact, my wife just did. And I don't think she's dumb. :)

wow! I'd call that amazing!!

My only question is why such early depreciation?

Heck, I usually only find the 1 & 2 year old cars that are MORE than the frigging new ones!

What's the price before tax? If it was between 25-26k, it's a decent deal.

Just mho. It's a completely different car without it. If your wife is happy without it then more power to her but the car was designed with the GPS in mind. It was designed to have the GPS and then it was removed for those that don't want it. Not the other way around where it's bolted into most other cars. To each his own, some are happy w london broil...others want a filet.

Not bad for a 2006. I'd go for the one with nav for $600 more and see if I could negotiate it down a little.

I'd call it par for the course. You didn't get taken, but you didn't get a smoking deal. Rest easy, enjoy your car.

the TL with nav really makes it a better car because of the bluetooth and everything's somewhat integrated and voice-activated.

Actually, the bluetooth is in the base model as well. The "Navigation" gets you voice activation and GPS navigation with a touch screen.
