Rate my build please....

Oct 25, 2005
Hello folks,

I know I asked for a building rating a couple of months back, but circumstances dictated that I push the purchase off until now. So here goes.....

This build will be replacing an AMD Phenom 9350e quad-core machine that is going to the wife (to replace her Intel P4 machine). I will be using this machine to surf the web, typical MS-Office tasks, minor graphics editing, DVD authoring, no games. I want at least 3 years of useful life out of this machine and will be running Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit. Here's my parts breakdown.....

Total cost after rebates is right at $1500 and I don't want to go any higher. Although this is not going to be a gaming machine, I still want a great performer.

Any suggestions for improvement while staying withing my $1500 budget? Thanks.
