I may pick this game up some time next month after my CPA exam. Looks like a great game!

EDIT: Wow, GS gave it a 7.5? A little harsh no? 1UP gave it an 8.5.

BTW, this might not actually be out? Its a week early if it is, but I can see it on multiple sites that the release date is now 10/23 instead of 10/31.

my local gamestop here in Columbus, OH confirmed it will be available tomorrow (24th). This is the norm with Tuesday release dates for non-major titles that ship early and en masse: eastern stores have the game for sale a day after release date. Not sure if the west coast gets them on the actual release date or not. But that's how it's always been here in Ohio. :(

Date is tomorrow here too (west coast).. Weird because we usually get them on Tuesdays.

I am really going to have to exercise some restraint and not buy this one right away. Its next on my list for gamefly (who has is listed available the 25th)

The manufacturing and distribution process completed quicker than everybody expected, so the companies gave the stores the go-ahead to sell it a week early. Not all stores are aware of this though.

I'm a little sad I didn't preorder it from Gamestop. Apparently a bunch of people got calls from Captain Quark today telling them to pick it up tomorrow :D

is the game fun? i'm thinking of picking up the ps2 games and going thru them and hopefully by the time i'm done, this one will be like a greatest hit or something. (although, i think each PS3 owner would have to buy more than one copy to get to the greatest hits mark :p)

I never got into any of the other ones.. This normally isn't my type of game, but the demo really grabbed me. Then again, maybe I just needed a game to justify my PS3's existence, it hasnt been played in quite awhile :)

try some blu-ray movies, netflix ftw. no sense buying a 60 dollar game that you dont want, but you will surely find some movies to watch.

Nah, I was mostly kidding.. We watch BD, DVDs on it all the time. I just got a handful of BDs from that Fry's $9.99 sale to watch this weekend.

There just has been too much going on in 360land lately to pay attention to the PS3. This game was the first PS3 to come along that can steal some time from Halo3/Orange Box/Blue Dragon.

Plus R&C is another one I can play with my son.. He has been getting neglected lately with the grown up games & doesn't really grasp whats going on.

"Daddy, if those guys are your friends , why are you hitting them with a Gravity Hammer?" :p

They had some ok/decent ones, nothing really groundbreaking but quite a few worth 10 bucks.

check it out here. Basically any that are still "sold out" and 19.99 were on sale for 9.99 last week.

I grabbed Res Evil, Fifth Element, and one other ( cant remember right now)

Started playing R&C tonight and I got to the 3rd level so far... collected the golden bolt on level 2 and 3. It's had some amusing moments so far too :D.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I hate the damn sixaxis controls! I'm trying to sit back in my recliner and I gotta control Ratchet falling with the sixaxis which requires the controller to be "flat". Problem is, it's already titled since I'm leaning back. I have to undo the reclining in my recliner just to do it :(.

I never have too much trouble getting bolts, I could use more raratanium. I also need to find that smuggler guy again, I have two Leviathan souls I never turned in! Maybe he's still on Corbala if I fly back in the super special ship thing.

Yea so far this game is a ton of fun. It's just your classic platformer adventure game that is just fun. The graphics are some of the best I've ever seen as well. The weapons are just a ton of fun to try and get fully upgraded. It is quite easy however that's pretty much how all platformers are.

I too also hate the six axis controls. I also don't like how you can't invert your aiming cursor in the spaceship stages. That was pretty damn annoying.

I kind of wish the space stages were more like Star Fox so you didn't have to aim too. Although I could just leave the reticle in the middle and acted like that, the game is designed for you to aim it. Just a bit thankful they added in that charge and auto-target fire.

I ended up getting some achievement in the first space stage by barrel rolling like it was my job (on the last boss mainly).

Hmm.. I have no issues with the sixaxis controls. They seem to work well.

As for the difficulty, the game does seem pretty easy. R&C has never been overly difficult, but this one seems easier than previous releases. I love the guns and gadgets in R&C games, but I think they made them a bit too powerful in this one (or the enemies too weak). There's supposed to be a "hard" mode enabled after you beat the game. I think they should have made that available from the start. Even so, the game is an absolute blast to play.

************Possible SPOILERS **************

Have you guys found the pirate outfit? Or does that come later in the game? I've gone through the pirate level once and ran across a couple of doors that you can't enter unless you are a pirate. I spent some of my golden bolts to buy the pirate skin (1st mate guy) from the "Extras" menu and attempted to enter, but I was still denied access.

You turn the sixaxis controls off in the options, it definitely makes some things a lot easier and less frustrating.

And you get the Pirate holo costume on the pirate comet level, it fills your last gadget space.
