Rastafarian?

I've read that Rastafarians are allowed legally to smoke marijuana. I'm not really religious I guess. I just take key things from all religions that I actually believe in and I guess just formulate my own religion, but what if I were to just convert to Rastafarianism(?). Say all I wanted to do was smoke marijuana and I just converted, would that work?

I'm not going to do it, but what would stop a pothead from doing it?

This thread may be alittle retarded, but I started the night alittle early at 5pm with some beer.

Maybe Rastas are allowed to smoke reefer in Jamaica, but no group of people is allowed to smoke the herb in the USA. I believe the only scheduled substance that a religious group is allowed to use is peyote for Native Americans.

So they cannot smoke marijuana in the US even if it's in their religion's regimine?

I see in Jamaica they are leaning to allow them to do it if they hadn't already.

People have given you the correct answer, as well: it is NOT legal for them to smoke pot in the US. This has been challenged, but that's all, to my knowledge.
