Those of you experienced in the Audio Video realm please aid me, I just got a raspberry pi and am very much amazed with its functionality as a HTPC but wish to pare it with a JVC RX-668V stereo system. I am not super knowledgable in the realm of stereo equipment, I know that the JVC unit itself has a headphone jack and the Raspberry Pi (model B) has output for a regular headphone jack. Could someone please provide some further input as to what I could buy at a local fry's or other retailer to allow for me to use the headphone output jack from the Pi to push the audio to the JVC system?
I know for a fact the system is able to produce simulated 5.1 surround but most importantly I am more concerned with not having to push audio out my TV internal speakers - Even if I am only able to bring stereo output to the JVC via the Pi that is better than utilizing my TV speakers currently and setting volume to 65+ (out of 100) just to be able to hear the movie, tv show, etc....
Any advice one could assist with is greatly appreciated, thanks!
