Rare sun bears emaciated in Indonesian zoo, eat excrement and beg

I'm an advocate of hunting myself, but caging a rare animal and starving it is beyond pathetic.

They apparently have no concern about conservation.

That is so disgusting. As usual, it's pseudo-medicine at its finest, too.

What a great way of rationalizing overpopulation and the rapacious destruction of nature: "It will make you less sick!"

I really hate when people talk up "eastern medicine" or "chinese medicine." My mom is one of these people. Grinding up endangered species into snake oil is not medicine. Medicine is a science, if it's not science it's not medicine.

So sad. Unfortunately, it's like this in many zoos in third world countries. Don't know how you could work at one of these zoos and not care for the animals.

Hey, Timmy, don't cry for all the animals going extinct. Think of what killing them will do for grandma's corns and your father's libido.
