Over the years, what hot deals have you gotten during Black Friday? I haven't yet participated in this... and since I have a job I'm looking save $$$ and spend it... but is it worth waiting?

The deals I've gotten are 8 hour shifts starting at like 5am.

$200 19" LCD monitor two years ago. External DVD-RW for $70 last year. .... that's about it.

I usually score tools and such. I am not huge on gadgets, especially if I'd have t camp out overnight. Sears normally have great deals on manly stuff.

I usually end up with all sorts of stuff. Most of it I don't "need" per se, but I get really good deals on them so I buy them.

$200 geforce 6800nu was a very good deal 2 years ago...though we almost got it.

I usually don't get anything, i'm not into standing in line for 5+ hours to save $15-$20..

When I was a poor college student a few years ago though yeah, I stood in line for those cheap CD-R deals and crap.

Last year, all from best buy. We lined up about 6:30pm the night before. We were 4th in line. My girlfriend loved it. We plan on doing it again this year. Going to get there around 4pm this time. Hopefully pickup a nice LCD tv cheap.

Not black friday but last New Years morning I picked up a 26" LCD HDTV for $499. Saved a few hundred and didn't have to stand there for hours. Just woke up and beat the drunks sleeping one off.
