Raptor / XP Copy OS Installation?

I will be installing (2) Raptor 74gb SATA drives. My current system is
OS XP Pro
MOB ASUS A8V Deluxe Rev. (2)
CPU DualCore AMD 64 X2 4200
Drives
Drive #1 - Maxtor 6Y080L0 (76 GB)
Drive #2 - Maxtor 52049U4 (19 GB)
Drive #3 - WDC WD12 00BB-00FTA0 (111 GB)
PSU Antec 430
2gb memory

I will be exchanging drive #1 & #2 for the Raptors. My question is can I install the new drives and either copy my OS and applications over to the SATA drive or using "Drive Image" re-install my back-up to one of the SATA's so I don't have to do a fresh re-install? Drives #2 & #3 are for back-up only and I will not be using raid. Bottom line is I just want to install the new drives, copy my existing OS & Apps and be on my way. Can it be that simple? Thoughts, comments or links I can read on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

Using the drive manuafcturer's utilities will be quicker and less troublesome. If you are switching your main boot hd from pata to sata, unless your mb natively supports SATA you will have to re-install, cloning may not work. Read you mobo manual carefully and get drivers from Asus' site if needed.
