Raptor v Maxtor

The Raptor has 10k rpm fast access/write times. How does NCQ and SATAII boost the perform of the Maxtor?

NCQ won't show you much performance until it's under heavier load. Sata2 is faster..but, it's really just a matter of how fast you can get data off your platters so... the awards go to the Raptor for that. NCQ offers a performance boost but not as big as 10,000rpm. May wanna checkout the Maxline3 maxtor drivers with 16MB cache... that'll maybe give the raptors a run for their money... or... go scsi.
