Raptor Setup Question

I am thinking about getting a pair of Raptor drives and installing them in a RAID configuration. My current system has a pair of WD 120 Caviar 7200 drives and I have a Drive Image 7 image of my main drive stored on the other drive.

Is there any way I can restore this image to the Raptor RAID pair and then install the RAID drivers? I just don't have the bandwidth to reinstall everything right now.

Thanks in advance for the help!

(I'm assuming your os is on the raid array here) if it's hardware raid, you should be able to simply make a ghost image of the volume onto cd-r's and restore your ghost image after you configure your raid array with the raptors, otherwise you'll have to load you os from scratch. time for the good 'ol backup, and loads of cd-r's.

My system is currently configured as two EIDE drives and the image of the master is saved to the slave. I will be installing the two Raptors and hardware configuring them as RAID drives on my I7C-G. I was hoping to then be able to restore the image of the master to this RAID drive and then, if necessary, repair the XP Pro OS to RAID configuration.

Complex!!! Will I be able to restore the restore the image to brand new RAID drives?

Thanks,
Karl

should work just fine. and you might not even have to do a repair. you should only have to load the drivers to the os after a normal boot.
