Raptor + Caviar SE setup

I have a 80gb WD Caviar SE (7200rpm, 8mb cache), and I just bought a 36.7gb Raptor. I wanted to get some opinions on how I should set these two drives up. I was thinking about putting my OS (Windows XP), drivers, and programs on the Raptor, and Files on the IDE HDD. Is this the best way?...or should I just put everything on the raptor until it gets full? Also, should I do a fresh install of the OS, or can I just simply transfer all the OS, and Data onto the Raptor from my IDE drive? How would I go about transferring the data? (I think a program like Norton Ghost is required?)

Thanks for any input, and advice. 🙂

Yes I would put the OS on the Raptor and then your files on the other drive. You can use like norton ghost to image your current drive and then restore it to the raptor. I personally like to start fresh but it is up to you.

OS and Program Files on the Raptor, everything else on the 80GB drive. I used that setup for months until I got a 250GB drive to replace the 80GB 🙂.
