just got my raptor and it has a long sata cable like its the sata power and sata connector together but it also has a 4 pin plug

do i need to plug the 4 pin plug in also or just the cable?
 
I believe what you're referring to is the Western Digital Secure Connect cable. If that's the case, it does NOT supply power to the drive. You will need the 4 pin Molex power hooked up. BUUUT, never plug in both SATA power and Legacy(Molex) power at the same time.
