Raptor 2x360GD RAID-0 vs 2x740GD RAID-0 vs normal 740GD...

Just wondering, other than storage differences, what is the performance difference between these three setups, particularly 2x360GD RAID-0 vs 2x740GD RAID-0.. Do the newer 740GDs have a completely different board, faster technology, better seek times? I checked out specs and they are not completely the same, though one would think they are the same.

And what are the speed gains from going RAID-0 vs just a normal Raptor, say 20% faster in all aspects of storage?

WOW, am I wrong or what, thinking 2xRaptor raid-0 would make a huge difference....
looks like single 74GB IS the way to go.. sucks when you have $$ and want to get fast performance but cant

Yeah man, sucks when you have money 🙁

LOL j/k

single 74GB. Raid 0 has never made much of a noticeable improvement for me either. (in my limited experience with it).

It DOES suck.

Cause sometimes when you have $ and you want to buy something, you can't find the right product. And then there are times when you desperately need $ to buy stuff and you can't.
