I use to listen to rap/hip hop a few years ago... ( 1999-2002) than got into the rave scene and stoped listening to hip hop or even paying attention to it. Brought up itunes radio today...and hip hop sucks so badly now... :(

Too bad the rave scene has sucked for many years now. You just missed the boat on everything huh? ;)

The vast majority of hiphop produced past 1996 has sucked terribly. In fact 99% of it does not deserve the label of "hip-hop" and should be called "rap".

Where is "up here"?
I guess there is still a scene there, but in general it's gone from underground to totally sold out.
Superstar dj's didn't exist when I was loving it.
But enjoy it either way.

I've listened to classic rock on WNCX (98.5) since the late eighties, only 10 or 15 years after rock's hey day. Don't any stations play "classic rap" now?

There's a huge underground scene out there, especially on the West Coast. Look into Living Legends, Project Blowed, Freestyle Fellowship, Visionaries, Afterlife, the list goes on and on.
