Today, Radio 104 (a modern rock station) changed formats and became Power 104 (a hip hop station). Although I didn't listen to radio 104 much anymore because they got rid of Dee Snyder and my tastes in music changed, I would still rather have them around than another hip hop station (we already have hot 93.7). That makes one less rock station, ugh.

It was dead yesterday afternoon. *cries*

CCC doesn't really play anything I like either...plus the signal sucks pretty much everywhere.

*sigh* There's nothing left :(

I IM'd the guy from CCC last night and asked him if he had any idea what happened to 104 and he said "corporate wheel keeps turning"

:(

cant they at least be original? LA's biggest station is called Power106, and NY's biggest station is called Hot 97.

I'm assuming everything's ClearChannel and gets the same name everywhere?

The biggest hip hop station in Phoenix is called Power92.

I'm guessing it is because they are all owned by the same company. (common in radio broadcasting)

good point. since Clear Channel owns all the airwaves now and pretty much anything else related to the word: radio

I didn't think Bubba The Love Sponge would last here up in the northeast.
