Be warned - Livewarehouse knows and uses every trick, scheme, diversion, and delay tactic in the book to aggravate you out of returning anything to them. For those interested, the story goes as follows.

First I ordered my wife a MP3 player for X-mas from them. Two weeks later it had not arrived, although it was "in stock" on their website the entire time. Wrote customer support and they shipped it that day...took 16 days to get to me. Their return period is "14 days from invoice-date." So by the time I got it, it was already past the return period.

I decided to get my wife something better I found in the meanwhile. I checked their site and they have a 25% restocking fee on all returns. I wrote cust support asking to waive the restocking fee since the item was unopened. No response. Wrote again, they asked for my order number. I respond with the order number. No response. I write back again asking my original question about the restocking fee. They ignore that question and redirect me to the RMA form on their website. I ask the question again...no response.

Finally I threaten to stop payment on my credit card until they answer my question. Well that got a response right away. They agree to waive the 25% restocking fee and send me a link to their RMA form. (2 weeks now have gone by.)

On the RMA form it asks for the RMA number, which they have not given me. I write back for an RMA number. They tell me that I have to fax in the form (fax only is acceptable) without the RMA number, and then I will be given one. I have to go to Kinko's and fax them the form. One week later no response.

I write asking them for the RMA number again and they respond with it. Whew...thank god - finally got the RMA number. I pack up the item, fill out their forms...again...with the RMA number and then I realize that there is no address to return the item to. Nothing on the RMA form, nothing on the website.

I write them for the address and eventually get it...just a street address and town/zip...no name. At this point I just give up, I will presume that the name is that of the company and send the bloody thing back. I have low hopes of actually having them accept the return and waive the restocking fee but I'm sick of it already.

For those not keeping tally, it wound up to about 12 emails and 3 weeks of fighting to get a simple RMA. Everything there appears to be specifically set up to thwart any returns. I would have to recommend that you avoid Livewarehouse at all costs and do not let yourself be attracted by the prices. It certainly was not worth it for me.
