rant: virus writers and MS should die..

So i cleaned out the girl's laptop. Ofcourse knowing her, she had tonnes of stuff that had to be backed up. Since the USB 2.0 drive was acting up, i backed it to my computer....

now I got a virus.. dont ask me where from? I think it might have been from before, since my IE used to crash randomly and AVG didnt find anything back then.

I hate viruses.. and Microsoft..

i am this close to moving the laptop to linux. If i do so i have to check and make sure the few peripherals i got (GPS, Camera, webcam etc etc) will interface to it.. otherwise im SOL.

The problem is that you copied files from some random girl's laptop to your computer. I don't see why you're surprised you got a virus. You would have to know that she doesn't keep anything up to date, right? Not if she can't even maintain her files.

You can blame MS for poorly-secured software, but you can't blame them for your bad decision.

funny, none of her files had the virus, my viruses are in a different location to hers, and totally different viruses.. so i dont know how i got this or when! I found a few java viruses too.. no idea how they got there.

IE is absolutely fscking idiotic. I hope i didnt infect anything else at home in LA. The idiotic thing, the AV isnt finding it at times. It doesnt see it (AVG esp) until something else triggers the virus to show up.

edit: she is not a random girl, she is someone i have known for a long time, someone i am dating..for the last 2 years.
