sata maxtor hd 200 gb. dvd-roms, etc.
all going into a p180.
So ya, I spent, HOURS laying out all my cables, wires, etc, in my case, (see pics in gen hard ware, sreach for baby)
i plug everything in, hit the power button, and ooohh wow look at that full color logo on boot, pretty.
so i drop in the win xp cd, and begin to install... installs starts to reboot.
reboots to hd, errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooooorrrrrrrrr, file missing currport.
hmmmm ok, a one time fluke, lets try again. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrooooooorrrrrrrrr.
so i look closer hmm disk scratched. so i try a different win xp cd.........
errrrrrrrorrrrrrrrrrrr file curropt, hmmm this 2nd disk being oh never mind,i have legals copies.
so i pull out the x64 disk, install.. errrrrrrrrrrrr errorrrrrrrrrrr
well crap
the 1st hard drive in there, a brand new Seagate 300gb, is just plan crap, used there scan utility. it quit working after finding a few hundred bad sectors.
so i go to best buy, and buy the best price/size disk they have, no good deal cause it is retail, so after my best buy bucks, get a 200 gb maxtor sata, for 140, ehhh, not a great price, but with out rebates. i'll live.
get home install new hard drive. run threw windows install, oghhhh wow, it boots, it starts windows. ONCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
install some drives, reboot system....
errrr cmos check some error, press delete to go to set up.
whats this hitting delete doesn't work. wtf.
pull everytihng out of case, still no worky. tried a floppy flash to new bios. had to modify the autoexec file so that it would auto flash, because geuss what, keyboard doesn't WORk.
WTFFF. flashes ok, but still nothing.
so now 12 hours later. the freaking thing is DEADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.
the quick memtest, is ok, the temps are ok from the read out. but the board is retarded
i pulled everything out. left video, ram, cpu in there. bare min to boot.

keeps giveing me a check sum error, hit delete to go to bios. I KEEP HITTING DELETED

IT DOES GO TO THE FREAKING BIOS. It did for a little while, but once in, wouldn't let the arroes go up or down.
WTF.
tired different psu. still nothing, moved ram to different slots, nothing. moved everything outside of case. Nothing, nothing nothing nothing. AREGAGWGQga
how the hell do u get 2 bad hardware pieces.
I hope the video card and cpu are good. but i see no reason to think there not, the mobo is not giving any erros for those. it just won't go to the freaking bios.

or just return the mobo, thats what i'm going to do.
