OK, I signed up as a bidder on ubid.com under the "$20 rebate for first $40 auction win" promotion. The specifics say the $40 can be a combination of the final bid price + shipping. So, happy go lucky, I bid on a 256MB Micron module for $33 + $8.99 +$.99 (as listed on the bid page) shipping, figuring that will come to a total of $42.98, meeting the criteria of $40.
Anyway, when I look at my bid confirmation, it says $33 + $6.98 shipping. Or, to a total of $39.98. Thus, not meeting the $40 requirement.
My rant is, where do they get off advertising $8.99/item + $.99/pound shipping and then charging $6.98. Normally I'd be happy. Guess I just can't win.
