I love my former electric company! I called them on September 18th 2002 to terminate service on the 30th of that month (I was vacating an apartment). The problem is I keep receiving bills (now $300 worth) and not my deposit back.
Of course I have called them 15 times over the last 7 months and have talked to every department (being on hold 2 or 3 times per call for 30 minutes each time) and have had two or three people say that they would call me back. Of course, I have never received a return call from anyone. Two CSAs have even given me their voice mail numbers but they do not return calls either.
I have been on hold for about twenty minutes today waiting to speak to a "supervisor" again but I doubt it will do any good.
I guess that they have enough customers that they dont have to care about the individual, but there has to be something I can do. Maybe a lawsuit, but the legal fees would outweigh the stupid $400 that I could probably get.
